Radcliffe Solutions, a learning and compliance management solutions provider to health and social care sectors, today announced it has been acquired by a leading health informatics firm.
Arif Ahmed, Radcliffe Solutions’ founder and managing director, together with Newcastle based Clarity Informatics have led the buyout from parent company Electric Word plc.
Radcliffe Solutions provides workflow solutions to a diverse client base across acute, mental health and community providers as well as NHS Scotland, Virgin Care and States of Guernsey.
Tim Sewart, Clarity Informatics’ chief executive, said, “We are delighted to welcome Radcliffe Solutions into the Clarity Informatics group. Both businesses are highly complementary with significant entrenched positions within their respective markets providing an excellent platform for future growth”.
"We are grateful for Electric Word’s support as a shareholder since 2011 and look forward to our future as an independently owned company," said Ahmed.
Radcliffe Solutions focus on workforce and compliance issues affecting health and social care organisations. Workforce management solutions support Agenda for Change, the national NHS pay framework underpinning over 1 million NHS staff. The solution enables organisations to collate robust evidence for pay negotiations.
Compliance solutions automate complex business processes for healthcare providers to demonstrate compliance to regulators. Implementing the software has direct financial benefits by reducing medical insurance premiums.
Ahmed adds, “Government reform has resulted in profound shifts in healthcare. At the same time technology has been a significant disruptive force creating new opportunities. Consumerisation of healthcare, mobile accessibility, independent sector involvement and greater regulator and compliance reporting are just some of the challenges facing our clients.
The excellent strategic fit between Clarity Informatics and Radcliffe Solutions together with access to new investment, skills and capabilities will enable us to help our long standing client base deal with the ripples of change”.
The deal will see Ahmed join Clarity Informatics’ management team as Strategic Advisor working on a number of commercialisation, strategic and innovation initiatives.
